The CubeSat Contest
The 5th CubeSat Mission Design Contest
This competition aims to stimulate the creativity of CubeSat design. Attendees are encouraged to design an innovative and intriguing space project/mission utilizing CubeSats. This competition is jointly organized by the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA) and the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Tamkang University. The winning team will have the opportunity to receive recommendations and funding from TASA to participate in the 9th Mission Idea Contest held by the University Space Engineering Consortium (UNISEC) in Japan in 2024.

Eligibility for Participants
High school and university students from around the world.
Researchers or professionals from research institutions or companies in Taiwan.
Individuals or groups from Taiwan with an interest in CubeSats and the aerospace field.
Teams should consist of 3 to 8 members, who can come from different backgrounds. Each team can have 1 to 2 mentors.
Note:
a. Participants are not allowed to submit competition entries that involve CubeSat projects currently in progress, funded for R&D, or under review by TASA.
b. Each individual is limited to registering for one team.
Competition Theme
Conducting CubeSat conceptual design and utilizing CubeSats to execute innovative space projects/missions.
Competition requirements
The designed space project/mission must utilize CubeSats no larger than 6U. It can involve a single satellite, or a constellation formed by multiple satellites, even in a formation. There is no upper limit on the number of satellites in the constellation, but it should demonstrate the benefits and unique features of a satellite constellation. The project/mission can be either a constellation type (satellites without intercommunication) or a linked type (satellites with intercommunication). This competition primarily focuses on conceptual design, and the satellite design content should reach at least "Technology Readiness Level 3 (TRL3)" or meet the level of "System Definition Review (SDR)" or higher.

Evaluation Criteria
Total Score : 100 points
Note
After the competition concludes, the evaluation scores and review comments will be anonymized and announced to facilitate reference for all teams in future improvement efforts.
